The Ale Pole, Daventry.

Situated in Daventry's old town pedestrianised high street is The Ale Pole pub with seating area outside the entrance, the warm blue wood façade of the pub surrounds two large glass front windows, the pub signage above the door is illuminated by three large brass lamps. Above the entrance hanging like a flagpole from the light grey brickwork is what looks like an upside-down broom stick, known as an 'ale pole' which in medieval England was a sign to indicate a freshly brewed batch of ale.
